I offer a wide range of massage and healing services tailored to fit each of my client's needs. I can work with individuals that have specific issues or injuries as well and set you up with specific treatment plans to assist in the healing process. Service Descriptions
Swedish Massage~is a massage used to relax the entire body. The benefits of this go way beyond the surface of the skin. It increases the level of oxygen in the blood, decreases muscle toxins, and improves circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
Deep Tissue Massage~is a special type of massage therapy that focuses on the layers deep in the muscles of the body. This type of massage is very therapeutic and is used to treat several physical ailments. Deep tissue massage reduces chronic pain, improves blood pressure, breaks-up scar tissue, and rehabilitates injured muscles.
Trigger Point Therapy~trigger points are spots of extreme tenderness in the muscles. They cause our muscles to shorten and shortened muscles make it hard for our bodies to function normally. When trigger points settle in our muscles, they pull our posture out of alignment and decrease our normal range of motion. This then creates a chain effect causing trigger points and bringing on more pain. The pain is often felt in a muscle in a different location than the actual trigger point.
Orthopedic Massage~this is a type of manual therapy that focuses on the treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal dysfunction and pain. In addition to treating specific injuries, orthopedic massage is used to increase range of motion, decrease and manage pain, and restore normal body movement and function.
Sports Massage~this type of massage is used to prepare an athlete for their best performance, reduce fatigue, relieve muscle swelling, and tension. Sports massage helps to rid the body of pain and prevent injuries that have an impact on flexibility, mobility, response time, and overall performance in athletic events.
Hot Stone Massage~the stones are heated to just the right temperature to help relax the body's muscles and soft tissues, alleviate pain, improve circulation, and help the body to release toxins. This type of massage also help to reduce stress, promote calmness, increase relaxation and speed-up recovery time.
Oncology Massage~Massage can be beneficial at nearly every stage of cancer-during hospitalization, prior to or after surgery, during chemotherapy or radiation, while recovering at home, during remission, or at the end stages of life. Massage during treatment can be very helpful. Massage can reduce pain, nausea, fatigue, anxiety, and depression. It can restore a feeling of wellness and wholesomeness.
Geriatric Massage~This type of massage uses gentle and light techniques. Geriatric massage helps to increase blood circulation, decrease depression, improve balance and flexibility, reduce arthritis pain, increase joint mobility, improve posture, relieve anxiety, and promote overall well-being.
Hospice Massage~Hospice patients can benefit tremendously from massage therapy. It improves pain, anxiety, insomnia, depression and mood disorders, stress, nausea, and fatigue and health related quality of life for those that need to manage their pain.
